SENIOR BUYER

Position Summary:

The Senior Buyer manages the end-to-end procurement lifecycle — from sourcing and supplier selection to purchase order management, contract coordination, and vendor performance. This role ensures timely, cost-effective, and compliant purchasing to support business needs. The ideal candidate combines strong analytical and negotiation skills with hands-on ERP experience (NetSuite preferred) and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.

Roles and Responsibilities:

· Purchase Order & Supply Management

o Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers based on quality, reliability, pricing, and delivery performance.

o Conduct sourcing activities, gather quotes, and coordinate alternative materials or supplier options.

o Manage the PR-to-PO process, ensuring accurate supplier details, pricing, terms, and delivery confirmation.

o Support B2B purchasing solutions and supplier onboarding (e.g., W-9 forms, NetSuite setup).

· Purchase Order & Supply Management

o Monitor open POs, update delivery dates, and communicate proactively about delays or issues.

o Resolve backorders, expedite shipments, and update ETAs as required.

o Generate accurate reports on open POs, delivery schedules, and exceptions.

o Manage returns, backorders, and past-due or stuck orders with suppliers and stakeholders.

o Serve as the Point Purchasing Functional Owner, triaging procurement requests via Slack, JIRA, and email.

· Contracts & Compliance

o Collaborate with Legal to prepare, review, and negotiate supplier and service contracts.

o Maintain supplier agreements and verify service quotes prior to approval.

o Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies, contracts, and regulations.

· Supplier Relationship Management

o Build and maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure performance and reliability.

o Resolve supply chain issues and implement alternate sourcing when needed.

o Track vendor performance and drive improvements through data and feedback.

o Identify cost-saving opportunities and negotiate favorable pricing and terms.

· Reporting & Communication

o Maintain accurate procurement records and reporting in NetSuite and Procurement System (Point Purchasing)

o Communicate proactively with internal teams and suppliers to ensure transparency and alignment.

o Provide guidance on purchasing policies and tools while maintaining timely, professional communication.

Qualifications:

o Experience with productivity monitoring systems

o Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance or other related fields

o Diploma in Supply Chain Management is an advantage

o At least 3-year experience in procurement, supply chain, or materials management

o Experience in pharmaceutical/biotechnology industry is preferred

o Proficiency in NetSuite ERP and ability to quickly learn new systems.

o Strong skills in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive, Gmail)

o Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.

o Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities.

o Committed to accuracy, compliance, and continuous improvement.

o Biotech/pharmaceutical industry experience preferred.

o Experience in B2B commerce and punch-out systems is an advantage

o Willing to work during US Business hours
