Compliance Specialist
The Compliance Specialist is responsible for supporting the Genfinity’s legal and regulatory compliance requirements by ensuring adherence to Philippines applicable laws, rules, and government regulations. This role manages compliance filings, regulatory submissions, documentation, and coordination with government agencies. The position requires strong legal documentation skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple compliance-related deliverables in a fast-paced corporate environment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensure timely compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements of government agencies (SEC, DOLE, PEZA, BOI, BIR, DOH, NLRC, BOC, LGUs).
- Monitor changes in laws, regulations, and government issuances, and provide updates or summaries as needed.
- Prepare, file, and track regulatory reports, certifications, permits, licenses, and renewals.
- Assist the Legal Team in drafting, reviewing, and organizing legal and compliance documents.
- Maintain corporate records, both physical and electronic, ensuring proper version control.
- Support corporate secretarial functions, including board and stockholder documents, resolutions, and compliance calendars.
- Prepare reports on the status of compliance requirements, filings, and legal matters.
- Assist in audits, compliance checks, and due diligence activities.
- Maintain compliance trackers and documentation matrices to meet deadlines.
- Coordinate with government agencies for approvals, certifications, and permits.
- Perform other compliance-related tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
• Juris Doctor graduate or Bachelor’s Degree in Legal Management, Paralegal Studies, Political Science, Accountancy, or other allied courses
• At least 2-3 years of experience in a law firm, compliance department, consultancy, or corporate legal environment
• Strong working knowledge of SEC registration, PEZA and BOI compliance, and corporate secretarial functions
• Proven experience in drafting legal, regulatory, and corporate documents (contracts, affidavits, board resolutions, corporate filings)
• High attention to detail with strong organizational and documentation skills
• Ability to multitask, manage time-sensitive deliverables, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Strong legal and regulatory research skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and electronic document management systems
