Financial Accountant
Position Summary
The Financial Accountant plays a key role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records and reporting. This position is responsible for managing month-end close activities, preparing balance sheet reconciliations, processing accounts payable, and supporting statutory audits. The role involves close collaboration with internal teams and external auditors, contributing to process improvements, and building strong partnerships with budget owners. The ideal candidate is a fully qualified accountant with at least 3 years of post-qualification experience, strong knowledge of IFRS and local GAAP, and a proactive mindset suited to a fast-paced international environment. Flexibility to work in Greenwich Mean Time (Ireland) is required.
Roles & Responsibilities
• Perform month-end close activities including posting of journals and monthly flux analysis under to tight deadlines
• Perform Balance sheet reconciliations for bank, prepaids, fixed assets and other key Balance sheet accounts
• Process accounts payable and bank payments
• Reconcile the theaters income and expenses for each show reflecting trends
• Partner closely with the accounting team to ensure alignment with accounting processes and controls
• Liaise with external auditors and support the statutory audit process
• Support the development and refining of the day-to-day tasks and implementing new processes within the accounting organization
• Build strong business partnerships with key budget owners
• Support ad-hoc activities and projects as they arise
Qualifications
• Fully qualified accountant, preferably with certification in ACA/ACCA/CPA or an equivalent
• Minimum of 3 years post-qualification experience (PQE) in accounting
• Experience and understanding as an Accountant in industry likeminded companies
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and local GAAP
• Proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel
• Experience in statutory reporting processes
• Experience working in various accounting systems and other broader systems, Sage is a plus
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail
• Ability to work cross-functionally with multiple teams
