Paralegal
REQUIREMENTS:
- Juris Doctor Graduate
- Alternatively, Bachelor’s Degree in Legal Management, Paralegal Studies, Political Science or other allied courses with relevant experience in legal and compliance work within a corporate setup.
- Required language(s): English, Filipino
- Proficient with Microsoft Office
- Preferably, at least 2-3 years of working experience in a law firm or legal or compliance department
- Above average Written and Oral Communications skills
- High attention to detail and pro-activeness
- Must be able to effectively multi-task, manage time sensitive documents and have exceptional organization skills in a fast-paced environment
- Background in drafting contracts, affidavits, corporate legal documents
- Knowledge in SEC Registration, BOI and PEZA compliances, and Corporate Secretarial work
- Assist lawyers in preparing opinions, drafting responses, organizing documents for the courts, quasi-judicial bodies, and government agencies.
- Prepare written reports on the status of the active cases of the company and its clients
- Prepares and process legal documents and correspondences: contracts, MOA, affidavits, agreements, deed of assignments, SPAs, Secretary’s Certificates, Board Resolutions, Minutes of the Meetings, Articles of Incorporation & By-Laws, General Information Sheets, and other similar documents deemed necessary by the Company
- Organizing and maintaining documents in a paper or electronic filing system
- Conduct research on laws, regulations and legal articles relevant to the business of the office and its clients
- Handle administrative tasks such as filing papers and maintaining and organizing reference files
- Liaise with different Governmental Agencies such as DOH, SEC, PEZA, DOLE, NLRC, BOI, BIR, BOC, LGUs to secure legal documents, certifications and permits
- Other tasks that may be assigned from time to time.
