Business Development & Strategy Analyst
The Business Development & Strategy Analyst provides analytical horsepower to Strategy, Business Development, and adjacent commercial functions. The role delivers decision-ready insights through financial analysis and modelling, market/competitor intelligence, and high-quality executive outputs (slides, dashboards, and briefings). The analyst also builds and maintains Excel-based tools (models, trackers, templates, scenario engines) and produces geo-visualizations (maps/territory views) to support portfolio, market sizing, channel, and opportunity assessments.

- Support evaluation of opportunities (new markets, partnerships, licensing, product initiatives) with clear assumptions and defensible logic.
- Create standardized templates (Excel) for repeatable analyses (e.g., market sizing, pipeline valuation, partner evaluation scorecards).
- Own model QA: audit checks, documentation, version control, and clear handover notes.
- Source, structure, and synthesize market data (industry reports, pricing signals, competitor portfolios, distributor/channel dynamics).
- Produce concise market briefs: market size, growth drivers, competitor benchmarking, whitespace, implications, and recommended actions.
- Maintain a ‘single source of truth’ for key market datasets and definitions (glossary, methodology notes, assumptions).
- Build leadership-ready PowerPoint narratives: problem statement, insights, options, recommendations, risks, and next steps.
- Create recurring and ad-hoc reporting packs (pipeline, opportunity tracker, pricing/volume dashboards) with clear commentary.
- Excel Tooling & Automation
- Develop robust Excel solutions: Power Query ingestion, structured tables, reusable macros/VBA (where useful), scenario toggles, and validation checks.
- Improve speed/quality of analysis by standardizing models, templates, and automation.
- Create maps and geo-visualizations (territory coverage, customer/distributor footprint, market opportunity overlays).
- Clean, geocode, and structure location datasets for mapping; produce clear visuals for decisions and presentations.
- Clarify objectives, align on ‘definition of done,’ manage timelines, and communicate progress.
- Support cross-functional workstreams (commercial, finance, regulatory, ops) by translating inputs into structured outputs.
- Any such duties as may be required to support the effective functioning of Strategy/BD analytical deliverables, commensurate with the grading of the post.

- Experience working cross-functionally and managing multiple stakeholders; comfortable with ambiguity.
- Advanced Excel (modelling best practices, Power Query; VBA optional).
- Strong PowerPoint (executive narrative, clean visuals).
- Data tooling: Power BI (preferred), other tools relevant; basic SQL (nice-to-have).
- Mapping tools: Excel 3D Maps/Power Map or GIS tooling (e.g., QGIS/ArcGIS) preferred.
- Strong data hygiene: reproducible methods, source tracking, and documentation.
